At the Y, strengthening community is their cause. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y serves Orange County, along with Riverside County, San Gabriel Valley, and Pomona Valley through seven (8) Health & Wellness locations (Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Murrieta, Maple Hill and Santa Ana). With an additional 150 afterschool programs, summer camps, sports & swim programs, Adventure Guides parent/child groups, and programs for youth and adults with special needs, YMCAOC is committed to serving the community.
With the Marketing and Communications team, we collaborate to develop campaigns focused on promoting youth and adult programs, health and wellness, events, aquatics, contests and more. There, I write (6) monthly and bi weekly newsletters for internal and external readers. Coordinate, strategize, grow and measure online presence and marketing efforts for 4 different service areas by maintaining (5) websites, develop social media plans/messaging and manage all social media channels (13 Facebook pages, 3 Instagrams, 4 Twitter accounts and 75+ yelp accounts). Additionally, fulfill marketing requests and departmental assignments such as proofread, edit, update flyers, fulfill partner social posts, and website updates.
